04/02/2026 - Feed's Aggregated Metrics

You can now see the overall performance of your feed results at a glance — without downloading a report.

✨ What's new?

Three aggregated metrics are now displayed at the top of the article page, calculated in real time based on your active filters:

  • Total MIV — the sum of MIV values across all results, aligned with your current search configuration (brand filters, industry filters, currency).
  • Total Placements — the total number of placements returned by your search.
  • Potential Reach — the combined reach across all unique sources in your results.

How it works

The metrics update automatically whenever you apply or change filters. They reflect exactly what is displayed in your feed — no manual calculation needed.

⚠️ important: MIV is calculated to match what you see on each placement: if you're filtering on one or more brands, the total reflects the MIV for those brands specifically. If no brand filter is active, the total covers all relevant MIV values across results.

Why it matters

Getting a sense of your feed's performance used to require exporting data to Excel or PowerPoint. These top-line metrics give you an immediate read on volume, value, and reach — directly within Discover.

💡 Good to know!

Print articles display one result per brand mention, while web and social articles display one result per article regardless of brand count. This means a single print article mentioning two brands appears as two results in the feed — which is why the total result count may differ from the placement count.
