Converting Temporary Contacts into Permanent Contacts
To convert your Temporary Event contacts to Permanent contact (in your Contacts Database), follow the steps below:
- Queue up the Temporary Contact(s) you wish to save to your database.
- From the Queue Options drop-down menu select “Create as Contact.”
- Select the designated Department for your new Contact(s)
Two things to note:
If the contact(s) has any fields that do not currently exist on your site then the system will ask you to enter an existing field. Otherwise, you can create a new field that is missing in a separate tab (such as a new category).
If the contact(s) does not have mandatory fields filled in, that are required in your Contacts Database you will be prompted to fill these in before proceeding
- When you have updated this information click “Validate and Continue” until you have updated all errors.
Your contact will now be added to your GPS Contacts database and flagged as a Permanent Database Contact.
