Here is a detailed description of the algorithm we use for search results:What does "by relevance, chronologically" mean?

When you type "Red Dress" in the search engine, what content is shown first?

  • Most relevant images first (if you type "Red Dress", you'll see red dresses first. Sounds obvious, right?)
  • Then, among images of same relevance
    • Latest showfirst, using the show’s date and time.
      • A show is all the images that have the same:
        • Season
        • Year
        • Collection
        • Designer
        • City/Location
      • For example: "Chanel (designer) Spring-Summer (season) 2022 (year) Ready-to-Wear (collection) Paris (city)"
  • Then, within the same show, the results are ordered by Shooting Context:
    • Runway Full Length first,
    • then, Runway Details
    • then, Atmosphere
    • then, Backstage
    • then, Presentation
    • then, Campaign
    • then, Street Fashion
  • Then, within one Shooting Context: the results are ordered by type: videos come first.
  • Finally, we display the results of the same Type, Shooting Context, Show, and Relevance: in alphabetical order.

Final Result: If you type "Spring Summer 22", for example, you'll see all the images of SS22, ordered by show date (Dorota Goldpoint was the last one uploaded to the platform), and within this show, you'll see the Runway Full Length images first, ordered in alphabetical order.
