Introduction
On APAC social networks it's relatively frequent to have the author of the post add more information (such as links) in the first comment. This is done in order to prevent decreasing the visibility or the engagement of the post (as adding links may decrease the score of the post) or to avoid paying fees required to insert links in the main post.
Since the text contained in this first comment may be relevant to detect mentions, starting on January 2024 we are storing and indexing this information.
This is only available for APAC Social Networks.
How it Works
The first comment is checked and the author of the comments is compared with the author of the post. If the author is the same, then the comment is considered relevant and the information is stored, otherwise the comment is discarded.
