  • Can you crawl insta stories or IGTV?
    Unfortunately it is not possible to access this kind of data through the Instagram API at the moment. As you know we are Instagram partners and we comply with their terms and conditions. Stories are ephemeral - that’s what Instagram promised to their users, and it explains why Instagram doesn’t allow their partners to store the stories in time. 

  • How do you attribute a country to a voice?
    The country associated with influencers or celebrities is the nationality of the person. The country associated with global brands’ accounts is the headquarter country.

  • How do we differentiate influencers from celebrities?
     We differentiate based on their "job" according to Google Search. People who don't have "Google Search profiles'' are considered as influencers. For those who do have a "Google Search profile", we check their job. Bloggers, Journalists, Models, Vloggers, Media personality, etc. are considered as influencers while Actors/Actresses, Singers, Sportsmen/Sportswomen, Politicians, Cooks, etc. are considered as celebrities.

  • How far back does your data go?
    In the Insights platform, we can recover a quarter's worth of data for the brands you select. On demand we can go up to January 2019.
    As a company, we've been collecting print and online data for about 15 years and social/influencer data for over 8.

  • How many competitors do you benchmark against?
    The package comes with 5, however, you can track up to 9 (at an additional fee).

  • How often is the data updated?
    Every week with a delay of 3 to 4 days.

  • Why is my brand below in the rankings whereas I have more placements than the other brands?
    MIV per placement is an important metric to look at. Every placement isn’t valued the same way. Here are some examples: 
    • For Online channel, placements that are galleries are valued less than regular articles because they are mainly a slideshow of images. 
    •  For Print, the position of the placement in the publication matters, a cover will bring high MIV. Page occupation is also important, a placement that takes more than 50% of a page will have more MIV than one with 12%.
    • For Social, “giveaway” posts only get a fraction of the MIV because they artificially boost engagement.

  • What voices can I filter by country?
    All voices.

  • Can I change the list of brands I benchmark against?
    You can revisit this at renewal. We recommend a consistent data set for a year so that you can properly compare and benchmark.

  • Can I export the reports/dashboards into a pdf/ppt?
    We provide exports of raw data in excel only for now.

  • We don't work with partners- can we customize which voices we include or see?
    Our voice mix is predetermined and all outlets and accounts are attributed to a specific voice so that we can have this data analysis readily available.

  • Are you tracking or is there any way for me to see "Instagram Swipe Ups" and click-throughs?
    Not as of right now.

  • How can I get MIV YoY Analysis for brands in the Industry Analysis ranking that are “NEW”?
    If you want to see the MIV evolution of a "NEW" brand that we did not track in the past, you should request to add it to your competitive set and to crawl historical data.
